the club is having about 10 new rosettes made of many differing moves mainly aimed at the lower younger levels. coaches had pointed out to the head coach that there are gaps in the development process. the very popular awards which are aimed to be done every two months award a gymnast with a rosette of the move they have mastered.children love to collect items and when it shows an achievement they have done it has an uplifting feel good fac ... |

22 girls in event.......
22 gymnasts are preparing themselves for the national individual invitation at spalding gymnastic centre on sunday feb 26th
times of participation will be listed on here all being well by tuesday next week.
gymnasts are in age bands which are represented as follows.
level 6 are 6-7, 8-9 and 10-11
level 5 are 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and 14plus
level 4 are under 10, under 12 ... |

A good start for 2012...
arabian opened up their 2012 competitive year in aneventwith 35 teams entered from all over great britain.
thelevel 4 teams came 2nd and 3rd as did the two level 3 teams.
level 6 team came 10th and level 5 team came 9th..
with 11 of the 24 girls entering, performing new floor routines it was a day of trials...

Treatment for Poppy...
12 1/2 year old gymnast poppy gibbs who schools at oakgrove school in milton keynes has become what is believed to be the first gymnast to enteran oxygen chamber in mk where it’s hoped the pressurised dive of oxygen will enhance and speed up the repair to her recently broken ankle.
the talented gymnast who has been selectedfor 11 events this year has been forced to watch as her team mates take on many teams this week ... |

Quiz Night

California evening is set...
the club is to hold a quiz evening at a local pub/restaurant and is holding talks with a local place about the club setting a date. the club will have a prize for the winning team and also as well as the quiz night event within there will be other events happening of fun that will assist in raising funds.

Golden Girl has beam slip...
poppy gibbs the 12 year old top squad gymnast at the club broke her ankle in training last night after rolling her ankle on landing a dismount from beam. the popular golden girl of the club has had issues with her ankle on and off for years and this latest "twist" was one too many for her athletic body as it succumbed to the eventuality of g force applied at an angle.

Change of date for new event...
alan has decided to change the date of the new national event
" the rainbow challenge cup"
the event was planned for sunday february 26th at the spalding gymnastic centre but due to grades on in some areas of the country he has decided to move the event. the new date is march 25th

the bbc have given a clear message by the virtue of this web link on just how dangerous our roads are here in and around milton keynes....if ever there was a good reason to lower speed limits on main trunk roads to 40mph, then this has to be leaning in favour.

thames valley police has gone live today with 101, the new national single non-emergency number, which will replace the 0845 8 505 505 number.
18 november 2011both numbers will run side-by-side until the end of march, but if demand for the 0845 8 505 505 number drops it may be discontinued earlier
