New Year has been good to top gymnast Sam Gavrovski
Sam stormed to three gold places in the University Gymnastic challenge on Sunday held at Birmingham University. Students from Loughborough, Nottingham, Birmingham and Coventry took part in the three piece competition.
Sam was on Bars first then floor and then last piece was balance beam. At the same time the boys also competed against each other as well.
In a very friendly atmosphere Sam's only worry was her fall from beam, a rare sight indeed but her ring stag leap is a blind landing on her front foot and she just misjudged it....nevertheless with combinations of back tumbles and twists off the beam she was clearly ahead of her strong Opponents.
The crowd that came to watch was standing room only on the gantry above the facility which was great for the gymnasts to get such support.
Sam took overall first place to gain her 4th Gold medal.
" A cool competitor is our Sam at times and she really did look good and against some serious gymnasts who were knocking out some good stuff. I am really proud of what she does and this after a 98% exam mark, wow what a week for the club Captain" Alan
