Bex becomes the official eldest senior gymnast

BEX HAPPY BIRTHDAY 18!!!

( Al shares a glass of wine on the beam legally! with his gymnast)
Bex Whatmore County and Regional champion is 18 years old today and has officially become the senior of senior gymnasts. Although 18 is terribly young in human years, its heading towards the "getting on age" in gymnastics.

She is certainly the most senior of girls in Bucks and one that has a credible reputation and respected by many.

Bex in her many years at Arabian has become First aid qualified; British Gymnastic qualified level 1 coach, British Gymnastics qualified Judge; she has won countless titles at County and Regional levels including floor and Vault Champion twice. She is the present regional Champion of southern England.

She has competed and won in Canmore Canada, Texas in USA and also San Diego in California.
2012 will see her compete fully for Arabian but as she closes in on 19, she will be at University and her ability and logistics to represent her club will deminish somewhat but rest assured Al will do everything he can to have her compete when ever possible.

Summer of 2012 has her listed to represent the club in the California challenge where gymnasts from Texas and California will compete against her and selected girls to go on the trip from Arabian.

Bex over the years at Arabian has been coached by Sam Gavrovski, Glenn Gamotis, Donna Armitage,Sam Palmer and by her main coach Alan. When she is not being coached she is often coaching others.

For some years she was in the shadow of the gifted Sam Gavrovski and at one point Sammi Palmer too, but she has never tired of trying and has chipped away at the most difficult of elements and now as the other big stars have started to fade away she has started to shine as brightly as ever.

( An Arabian celebration)
To be fair Sam Gavrovski was a National Gymnast for GB and Sammy Palmer was a world champion twice over, so not a bad third place to of held in ranking as she competed in Canada with the two alongside her.

Those other stars, the two Sam’s will be very pleased that Bex has stepped into the number one spot for Arabian. Over the years Arabian has had some superb talented young girls with great personalities that have headed the club.

Bex Whatmore today takes her stand and a very proud one at that, of being the 3rd gymnast to compete for the club aged over 18 years old.
( Group hug for the ever popular Bex)

Sunday sees her step out yet again in the Arabian team colours in the National Autumn Invitation in Lancashire.

An amazingly brave gymnast who has grown into a most delightful young lady…happy birthday from everyone. xxxx
