Alan has known Glenn for many years but it was 5 years back that Alan found his true potential when he helped Alan with the Pinewood summer camp in Berkshire. " he really was just the ideal person to have on a summer camp, the two weeks were great fun for all concerned, kids just enjoy life when around him, a truly wonderful person to be around children"

Glenn has done well to forge ahead in teaching gymnastics after having a freak fall some years back changing a light bulb, that left him paralyzed for 6 months. He was left in a wheel chair for some time until he recovered, but true to form of gymnastics, he recovered really well and luckily and thankfully was OK.

Glenn has two grown up children and his one daughter teaches alongside him at Bicester.

Glenn is a qualified Senior Club Coach and is the head coach of Bicester gymnastics club which runs three times a week.
 Glenn has been in the sport for many years and has become a major feature of the Arabian club. He teaches on  Friday’s and Saturday afternoons.

Other days he is teaching at his own club, which has about 100 members. Bicester is about 21 miles away from Bletchley and it takes Glenn about 25 minutes to get to the club.

Glen's record with gymnasts is quite remarkable, he has had many county champions and  huge amount of county honours with girls and boys. Glenn's girls over the years have pulled out some incredible routines and also qualified for the Regional finals. His ability to teach everyone fairly and to give them confidence to train moves without feeling they need their hand holding all the time, is truly exceptional.

In 2006 Glenn received an award from the executive committee of British Gymnastics SRC for his outstanding contribution to the sport.Also in 2006 Arabian was awarded sports club of the year and without doubt Glenn's involvement at the club has helped it with this achievement.


He is a massive vote for the kids, everyone likes the 6 ft 2 inch American, who is possibly one of the nicest and most honest coaches you could ever wish to meet. His soft nature with the children is wonderful. He is also an area women’s artistic judge and still resides in Bicester but is young and single…..he said we must say young!
